Targeting the foreign audience for BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s September 29 rally in the Capital, the Delhi BJP on Thursday said it has invited foreign diplomats to the event. The party said that the decision was taken as it was observed that Modi’s public oratory had been drawing attention of a number of countries.

“Several foreign diplomats have been invited to attend the September 29 Vikas Rally at the Japanese Park in Rohini. The invitations have been extended in view of keen interests shown by many countries in Modi’s public speeches in the run up to the Assembly polls and the general elections scheduled for next year,” said Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel.

Besides, the party is also inviting former bureaucrats to the rally. Goel said the students of Delhi University have also expressed their interest to attend the rally for which special arrangements are being made to transport the students from their colleges to the rally venue.

“Invitation cards have been sent to several embassies and High Commissions inviting the foreign diplomats to the Vikas Rally. Party is expecting confirmation on the invitation in a day or two,” Goel said, adding special seating and security arrangements are being made for them at the venue of the rally. “Apart from foreign diplomats, several former bureaucrats are also expected to attend the rally where Modi will spell out BJP’s agenda for development of both Delhi as well as the country. Separate arrangements are being made for the former bureaucrats, who understand the value of decisive leadership for the development of the country,” Goel said.
