Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and the Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD) in-charge Durgesh Pathak on Tuesday alleged that the top brass of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lost all hope on the BJP ruled MCD.
Hitting hard on BJP Pathak said that on October 19 the North MCD mayor Jai Prakash met Union Minister of State (Finance) Anurag Thakur; despite the request of the mayor, the Center has not provided any aid to the MCD.
He said that MCD had asked for Rs 2000 crores from the Center but they have not provided any money. Pathak said that the BJP has no moral right to stay in power of the MCD because not only the people of Delhi but also their own party leaders do not believe the BJP ruled MCD.
“All the permanent, as well as contractual sanitation workers, have not received their salary for the last 4 months. Class 4 employees and Health workers of group C have not received their salary in the last 5 months. DCB employees have not received their salary for the last 3 months,” said Pathak.
“Nurses, Allopathy doctors, and surgeons have not received their salary for the last four months. Teachers who build our student’s destiny have not received their salary for the last six months. Group A and B employees also have not received their salary for the last 6 months. It is an
extremely unfortunate situation that BJP who is ruling the Delhi MCD for the last 14 years is unable to pay its employees,” said Pathak.
