Influenced by the work being done by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government in the national Capital, BJP leader Priya Chaudhary and Congress leader Pawan Sharma joined the AAP on Sunday.
AAP senior leader and party incharge Durgesh Pathak said that leaders of all the parties are joining the party after seeing the Kejriwal Government’s overall development in areas including schools, hospitals, electricity, water, roads, and WiFi.
Pathak said, "The Delhi Government has achieved incredible and historic milestones in the last seven years. Arvind Kejriwal has been a trailblazer in setting up models to accomplish it all, from eliminating corruption to establishing a stellar education model, then establishing a model for health infrastructure, and finally revolutionising development in the rural countryside. Even Delhi's unauthorised colonies, which were orphaned for the longest time, have been cared for and have improved."Priya Chaudhary said, "I am grateful to this party for recognizing my passion and allowing me to channel it appropriately. We want to do a lot of things, but we get caught up in petty politics and cannot get anything done. When it comes to the Delhi BJP, it has little regard for its members.”
Speaking on occasion, Pawan Sharma stated "I am joining the party after being impressed by the AAP rapid development work in Delhi. We will remove corruption in MCD and build an AAP government there as well."
