BJP issues ward specific list of 5 promises

With bypolls in 13 MCD wards scheduled next month, the Delhi BJP on Wednesday issued a ward specific list of five promises instead of a manifesto. The party stated that these elections are taking place under dual circumstances where on one hand the Central Government opened the way for the regularisation of thousands of unauthorised colonies, while on the other hand the Delhi Government has wasted its 14 months indulging in the politics of accusing the Opposition.

“After these elections the candidates will not have much time to reach out to the issues. Therefore, it is better to come out with a list of five promises based on real problems of the wards going for elections,” said Satish Upadhyay, Delhi BJP chief.

In Kamruddin Nagar ward, construction of garbage dhalao, appointment of additional sanitation staff in Nihal Vihar and establishment of bus terminal near Nihal Vihar fire station have been proposed.

In Shamilar Bagh North, arrangement of sewer system in Shalamar and Sahipur Village, renovation of lanes and drain and arrangement and beautification of canal are the priority.

Installation of CCTV cameras and construction of open gym on the lines of Ashoka Vihar have been taken up in Wazirpur. In Ballimaran it is all about renovation of corporation’s community hall at Nai Bada and establishment of dispensaries, the BJP has given priority to sanitation, release of pensions and road repairing in Vikas Nagar.
