The AAP on Monday said that they will symbolically protest against BJP’s debacles in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) by burning effigies of Ravan made out of trash at over 3,500 sites in the national Capital.
AAP MLA, Durgesh Pathak said that BJP-ruled MCD has subjected Delhi to immense shame by hitting the rockbottom year on year in Swachhta Surveys. “BJP gifted Delhi three mountains of garbage in its 15 year rule in MCD and it is now planning to add 16 more mountains. The filth and trash on the streets of Delhi is a symbol of BJP’s disastrous run in the MCD,” said Pathak. “I appeal to all Delhiites to join AAP’s symbolic protests and raise their voice by burning effigy of BJP’s maladministration this Dussehra. We demand that MCD elections be held at earliest so AAP can come to power and rid Delhi of all the garbage,” said Pathak.
