A 52-year-old businessman Ramesh ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at a banquet hall in Outer Delhi’s Peeragarhi area under the jurisdiction of Mianwali Nagar police station on Thursday, police said on Sunday.
The victim left behind a suicide note, writing on the wall of the room that his business partner killed him.
Following which, police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the victim’s business partner. Police said after the incident, the hall staff rushed Ramesh to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
A senior police officer said, “As per the preliminary investigation, Ramesh had started working with his friend Manoj Goyal.
“For past one and a half years, Ramesh had allegedly told his family that Manoj was not sharing the profit with him. Ramesh was under mental trauma."
Police said Ramesh lived with his family in Tagore Park area of New Model Town.
