Lashing out at the AAP, Delhi BJP on Thursday said that the Kejriwal Government had cheated the people of the national Capital by making false promises in the ‘Rozgar Budget 2022-23’ not even a single promise was fulfilled by them this fiscal year.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said the AAP government claimed to provide 20 lakh employments in the city in five years but not even 20 people were facilitated with the jobs this year.
He said that not even a single promise made in the employment budget was fulfilled by the Kejriwal Governmnet and yet the time of presenting the new budget is around the corner. Pointing out the promises made in the Rozgar Budget by the Delhi Governmnet, Bidhuri said that they claimed to organize the 'Delhi Shopping Festival' from January 28 to February 26, 2023, but it is not taking place.
“Apart from this the formation of a cloud kitchen and food truck policy, and the redevelopment of Asia's largest Gandhi Nagar garment market was promised by the Kejriwal Government in the previous budget but till the date not even a single work has been completed,” LoP claimed. “The AAP Government also announced the plans for the redevelopment of five big markets of the national capital, Kamla Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Khari Baoli, Kirti Nagar and, Sarojini Nagar, but all these plans remained only just announcements,” Bidhuri said.
“The Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has tainted the goodwill of the people associated with the tourism industry along with wasting crores of rupees as Rs 250 crore had been earmarked for the shopping festival and travel agencies, hotels, and the tourism sector were asked to make advance bookings so that people could participate in the festival. Still, now no one knows when the festival will take place,” Bidhuri underlined.
