DDA agenda meeting on Wednesday was a stormy affair as Somnath Bharti, the AAP MlA, raised the issue of land allotment to BJP Delhi for constructing its office. The matter was not listed in the agenda but Bharti not only raised the issue but also refused to sign the minutes. He also accused lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung of threatening him.
“Bharti came to authority meeting to create noise. It is a well known fact for the AAP that land has been given to the BJP by land & Development Office of the Union Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). The AAP never raised this issue in previous meetings,” said a senior DDA official. “Despite Bharti’s nuisance in the meeting, authority cleared some important agendas related to land use and bio-diversity park,” official added. It may be noted that Bharti never attended agenda meetings in the past.
“We have already issued a clarification on Wednesday that 809-square-metre land does not belong to the DDA, it is the matter of land and Development office,” said official.
Meanwhile, DDA officials said Thursday meeting saw the authority clearing 12 agendas in the presence of the l-G.
“Modifications in transportations by MoUD and related modifications to Delhi Urban Area-2021, Change of landuse in MPD-2021/ZDP of two sites at location A Sector-24, Dwarka and location B in Sector-29, Dwarka in Planning Zone-K-II (Dwarka) from District Park/ Master Plan Green (P-2) to Utility (U-4) for solid waste management facilities were the main agendas passed in authority meeting,” said official.
“There were another agenda about the proposal for change of land use on a piece of land measuring 4 hectares for 400-KV ESS from public and semi-public facilities (PS1) to ‘Utility’ (U-3) in Sector 5, Dwarka, Planning Zone K-II and modification in MPD-2021 regarding the area under waiting/reception in the hospitals and it was also passed,” said DDA official further.
