The proposed museum at Town Hall will be dedicated to the history of Delhi and would display the various elements of its cultural heritage. The museum would have eight sections with both static and dynamic display.
The various aspects include textile, warfare, art, literature, jewellery, architecture and the modern influence. The museum will have a timeline and major events in the evolution of Delhi. The section will be highly interactive with multiple touch screens, projections and EDM models.
The cultural centre at the Town Hall will have a large volume of literature and written material on the history of Delhi. Original books and their authentic replicas will be made available and housed with the best interactive technology that will allow the user to access the books, page by page without touching it. The centre will have the double height assembly hall that will house the first surround projection shows in the country. This technology will use multiple cameras projecting a seamless image around the viewers. The shows would be of 20 minutes playing every half an hour. The artisans of Old Delhi in particular and Delhi as whole would also get an opportunity to showcase their immense craftsmanship and tradition through these high-end craft boutiques.
