The body of Mohammad Asiq, the 30-year-old owner of Aman Bakery, was found stuffed in a sack by his employees on Monday morning. The grisly murder took place in Sultanpuri’s outer district area. Money seemed to be the prime motive since Rs18,000 was also missing from his person.

According to police, the incident came to light when Asiq’s brother raised an alarm. Asiq was lying in a pool of blood with blunt force marks to his head.

“A PCR call was received around 7 am. He was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The almirah was broken into and cash missing,” said a police official. Preliminary investigations revealed that three employees of the bakery had gone missing.

A case of homicide and theft has been registered at Sultanpuri police station. A hunt has been launched for the missing workers.
