A 26-year-old Australian was killed and many others were injured after a bus hit his motorcycle on the Yamuna Expressway on Thursday morning.
The Australian, Mathew, was going to Agra with his friends on motorcycles when a bus collided with a truck and then hit his two-wheeler, injuring him critically, Station House Officer (SHO) Farmood Ali Pundir said. Mathew died on the way to a hospital, the SHO added.
The incident occurred in the Dankaur area of Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar district. A school student in a van, coming from behind also collided with the bus, driver and conductor of a UP roadways bus and some passengers were also injured, the SHO said, adding that they were taken to a hospital for treatment. Traffic on the Yamuna Expressway was affected for few hours, he said.
