A 21-year-old aspiring air hostess was allegedly stabbed with a knife by her male friend near her house in Ram Nagar area of Mansarovar Park of Shahdara district.
According to a senior police officer, the incident was reported at around 5.30 pm when the girl was found bleeding profusely outside her home by her neighbours. The girl is critical and going under treatment. Adil (22), the accused has been absconding after the incident.
"The accused, Adil has been earlier booked in an auto lifting case by the Mansarovar Park police station. We have obtained the CCTV footage of the stabbing from the nearby cameras.
The girl is training at the Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training. Apart from her parents, the girl has two siblings.
The girl is stated to be critical. At the time of the incident, parents of girl were not at home. They were working at their respective workplaces when she was attacked.
Nupur Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) said, “We have registered a case under IPC section 307 at the Mansarovar Park police station. Efforts are on to nab the accused at the earliest.”
