Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Friday appointed Ashwani Kumar, Indian Administrative Services (IAS) of batch 1992 as Principal Secretary (Home), Delhi government with immediate effect. Kumar, will also continue in his current position, Special Officer of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
According to the order of the Services Department, Delhi Government, the Lieutenant Governor, Delhi is pleased to post Ashwani Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 1992), Special Officer, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) as Principal Secretary (Home), Delhi Government, with immediate effect, in pursuance of approval of Competent Authority under Rule-55(2) of Transaction of Business of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Rule, 1993 conveyed by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. "Kumar, shall, in addition, continue to be Special Officer, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), as appointed vide MHA's Order," order stated. SR
On May 20, 2022, Kumar was appointed as the Special Officer of the unified MCD by the MHA.
