Unidentified armed criminals attempted to kill Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MlA Nand Kishore Gurjar, from Gujarat. The incident occurred on Sunday midnight on Pipe line road near Farukhnagar area when the Gurjat MlA from loni assembly seat was passing through the area.
According to the police, “Sahibabad police station received a complaint from Nand Kishore Gurjar that an attempt was made to kill him when he was returning from Meerut on Sunday midnight. An SUV overtook his Scorpio on pipeline road and fired shots on his Scorpio due to which the rear view mirror of his vehicle broke. He immediately informed the nearby Farukhnagar police post”. SP City Akash Tomar visited the crime spot on Monday morning, they said.
Responding to the phone call made to the police, Circle Officer (Border) rushed to the crime spot and escorted the MlA up-to his residence and local police launched a combing operation in the agriculture fields to find out the criminals.
“On his complaint a criminal case under section 307 of IPC and others was registered in Sahibabad police. Investigation has been taken up”said SSP Ghaziabad Vaibhav Krishna.
