'Appointment scam': loP meets Jung, seeks probe

Accompanied by BJP MlA Om Prakash Sharma, leader of Opposition Vijendra Gupta met lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on Friday demanding a probe into the appointment of workers of the Aam Aadmi Party in various departments of Delhi Government “against the rules”.

Gupta told the l-G that Nikunj Aggarwal, son-in-law of CM Kejriwal’s sister-in-law, has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Health Minister. “The Health Minister appointed her daughter Saumya Jain as advisor to the Health Secretary though she was ineligible for the same. On the matter being exposed, she resigned. Similarly, hundreds of noneligible people have been appointed against the rules whereas those eligible and un-employed are roaming here and there in search of employment,” Gupta told the l-G.

Gupta later claimed that Jung has assured probe into the entire “appointment scam”.

Gupta also questioned the qualification, experience, administrative and working capacity of the “AAP favorites who have been appointed with fat salaries”.

“These people have been appointed on the recommendations of the Ministers, MlAs and AAP leaders... The constitution and the rule of law is being utterly violated after AAP came to power in Delhi. The entire Govt. is obsessed with nepotism,” he said.
