A-25-year-old married woman was found murdered with bullet wounds near Navin Subzi Mandi in Dadri area of Greater Noida on Tuesday morning, police said.
The woman has not been identified yet. Hom Singh Yadav, SHO Dadri said the incident came into light around 9 am when a passerby informed local police about the incident.
“Police team reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. The area adjoins GT road, Sikandrabad and Ghaziabad district,” SHO said.
“She might have been killed somewhere else and the body was dumped here,” SHO added. “We are trying to identify the woman. We are scanning missing details of women in adjoining districts as well,” said Anuragh Singh, Deputy Superintendent of police, Dadri, Greater Noida.
Greater Noida has been emerging as a dumping ground for women bodies. Total nine such bodies have been recovered between January 2015 and March this year. All were unidentified women (age between 20 and 25) but there is no headway. Investigations are underway.
