In a major breakthrough in the triple murder case in East Delhi's Mianwali Nagar two months ago in which businessman Bhupender alias Monu, Arun Setani and Assistant Sub-Inspector Vijay (Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Monu) were shot dead while Constable Kuldeep (another PSO of Monu) had sustained bullet injuries, the Special Cell unit of Delhi Police arrested another accused who was involved in the murder.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, Pramod Singh Kushwaha said the accused has been identified as Rajesh alias Rajje, who was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh. A Delhi Court had also issued a non-bailable warrant against Rajje and other six accused who are yet to be arrested.
Apart from the triple murder case, Rajesh was also wanted in the attack on one Ramesh lohar of Bohar, Rohtak in Rohtak Court and other cases. He is also a life convict in Devender Coach murder case in Rohtak and had jumped the parole to eliminate Ramesh lohar and join hands with Satyawan alias Sonu Daryapur in furtherance of his plan.
“Rajesh wanted to kill Ramesh lohar and Sonu Daryapur wanted to eliminate Bhupender of Daryapur. Both joined hands to eliminate their rivals and thus formed a new alliance,” said the DCP.
After the triple murder case, the Special Cell was working upon Sonu Daryapur gang and on May 20 arrested one accused Satish from Bohar bye pass in Rohtak, who confessed about his involvement in this triple murder case along with accused Rajesh, Sonu Dariyapur, Sumit Palotra, Sonu Kejriwal alias Chottu and others. Meanwhile another conspirator Naveen Khatri was also arrested in this case on June 8. The team of Special Cell intensified its efforts to arrest other co-accused in this case. “Accused Rajesh was arrested on Wednesday on specific information from Gokarna cross in Madangir in Karnataka,” the DCP further added.
