The Delhi Government has replaced the Divisional Commissioner Dharam Pal, a 1988-batch IAS officer, and appointed Amit Yadav, a 1991-batch IAS officer as Divisional Commissioner. Yadav will also hold the post of Secretary (Revenue) with additional charge of the post of Secretary (land and Building). Dharam Pal has been appointed as Managing Director of Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
It is learnt that the Delhi Government was not happy with Dharam Pal as sale and purchase could not be started in 895 unauthorised colonies, which were notified in September 2012 despite order issued by urban development department. The Government was no back-foot on the opening of sale and purchase in unauthorised colonies as despite the order, the Revenue department has failed to open the registry. It is noteworthy that Revenue department has not issued order on opening of registry in unauthorised colonies existed on private land till date. The Delhi Government is eying on the voters of these unauthorised colonies in the coming Assembly polls.
According to services department order (F.8/1/2009/S.I/Vol.II/) issued on April 10, Dharam Pal, Secretary (Revenue) and Divisional Commissioner and Secretary (land and Building) is transferred and posted as Managing Director of DSIIDC on deputation with additional charge of the post of Secretary-cum-Commissioner (Industries) while Yadav, who was holding the post as Secretary (Finance) holding additional charge of the posts of Secretary (PPP), World Class Skill Development project, Secretary-cum-Commissioner (Industries) and Managing Director of DSIIDC will be Divisional Commissioner and Secretary (Revenue). The order also states that terms and conditions of deputation of Dharam Pal will be settled in
due course.
The order further states that World Class Skill Development project will be looked after Rajendra Kumar, a 1989 batch officer. Kumar is currently holding the charge of secretary (TTE/Higher Education) holding additional charge of the post of secretary (IT) and Tetra project.
