Reliance Infra chairman Anil Ambani on Wednesday met lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung and is understood to have discussed the issues related to power including audit of discoms and the orders by previous Arvind Kejriwal Government in his 49-day rule in the Capital.
However, officials at the Raj Niwas termed Ambani’s hour-long meeting with Jung as a ‘courtesy call’. It is learnt that recommendation by the AAP regime to Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission to revoke licences of BSES if it fails to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply figured in the meeting. The issue of CAG audit of discoms by CAG was reportedly discussed in the meeting too. last month, then CM Arvind Kejriwal had ordered a CAG scrutiny of private power distribution companies. The BSES discoms had expressed their unhappiness over the decision.
