After Kejri 'poach', hardboiled Garg gets threat call from 'AAP fan'

A day after former Aam Aadmi Party MlA Rajesh Garg released an audio of Arvind Kejriwal allegedly horse-trading, Garg released another recording where he is being threatened by an unknown person for nipping this issue in the bud and not speaking about it. Garg said that he would be filing a complaint for the same but hasn’t done so far.

Garg claimed to have received a threat call on Thursday by someone who said he was an AAP well-wisher. According to the former MlA, the threat was to hush things up after he accused the Delhi Chief Minister of trying to poach six Congress MlAs to form Government last year before the Assembly was dissolved.

Garg said the caller told him not to take the matter forward. “let it stay like this. I am an Aam Aadmi Party fan. You are clever enough, which is why I am saying. I will do nothing. Only time will tell what will happen. Don’t take the matter ahead. You also have my number displayed,” the unknown caller purportedly said in the recording made public by Garg.

“The call I received was from an international number. I have recorded the conversation and sent a copy of the recording to the police,” said Garg.

The former Rohini MlA, who shares an uneasy relationship with the party leadership, had recorded a conversation between him and Kejriwal in which the Delhi Chief Minister is purportedly heard asking Garg to break six Congress MlAs and form another party, which could support the AAP.

lashing out at Garg, the party had said the recording was passed on by a “disgruntled element” that was denied a party ticket. However, after Garg said that he was being threatened, party leaders added, “We don’t have anything to hide. We were in talks with the Congress MlAs and we even spoke to the BJP. Moreover, we had written to the lieutenant Governor to give us one month to figure out a way to form Government. Why should we threaten anyone when we haven’t even done anything wrongIJ Nowhere has Kejriwal or anyone else been heard offering any sort of incentive to leaders. As for Congress’ former MlA Asif Md Khan’s claim that we offered ministership to them, let him take out the audio clip and then we will see if what he’s saying is true or not.”
