To ensure that the admission guidelines issued by the Delhi University are followed by all colleges, it is speculated that the top brass of the university will set up a committee to monitor the entire process. The authority will prepare a foolproof arrangement and come up a mechanism to make sure there is no lapse.
According to university sources, there is no provision at the moment to make sure that colleges follow the guidelines properly hence, it had been decided that a committee will be formed to supervise the admission process. “Thus, in most likelihood a system will come into existence to ensure the smooth functioning of the admission process. There will be a vigilance team either on field or otherwise which will keep a tab on the admissions,” said an official from the university.
This vigilance is in lieu of the fact that each college is expected to upload their admission data on the website as soon as they accumulate it and a lot of principals may not want to take up the extra work and update regularly. “Every college, irrespective of whether they have or not received any admission on a list, must inform the university about it and upload it on the college website so that the students know. For the uninterrupted execution of this, there needs to vigilance as to who is following the instructions and who is not,” said sources in the university.
