Ad hoc staff hit: BJP slams AAP Govt

Calling the Delhi Government anti-Dalit, the Delhi BJP on Tuesday alleged that the Kejriwal Government has gone back on its promise to regularise the services of temporary employees. In a circular issued by the Delhi Government to the MCD regarding the loan conditions, the Government demanded no fresh recruitment and discontinuation of services of contractual employees.

The Pioneer had earlier highlighted the conditions that the Kejriwal Government had put in front of the corporations for the loan. Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said, “The Kejriwal Government is anti-Dalit anti-poor and it has no right to celebrate. Aam Aadmi Party promised to regularise the services of temporary employees especially the Safai Karamchari but after coming to power this Kejriwal Government is bent upon retrenching the services of temporary Safai Karamchari and the 4th grade employees. A that the circular of Kejriwal Government issued to the Municipal Corporations on 4th February, 2016 is proof of its anti Dalit-Balmiki community and poor people and after this the Government has no moral rights to celebrate in any form.”

Pradesh Secretary Karamveer Singh Chandel said that the Delhi Government is fast losing the confidence of the people and besides working against the interest of the people it is completely involved in corruption.

Mayor of NDMC Ravinder Gupta said that the 4th February, 2016 circular of the Government has exposed its anti-dalit character and it is also a proof of its political malice. “The Delhi Government has issued orders to the Municipal Corporations that they should implement the recommendations of Municipal Valuation Committee within two months and it should also withdraw the exemption on the property tax dues,” he said.

“Such stringent conditions have been laid by the Delhi Government in extending loan to the municipal corporations that they won’t be able employ any new sanitation worker or class IV employee,” DPCC president Ajay Maken said.
