A witness to a murder was on Monday afternoon allegedly attacked by the accused in the case inside Karkardooma court complex in East Delhi. As per police, the victim, identified as Tahir, was a witness in the murder of one Ibrahim which took place a year ago in MS Park area.
He was killed by six men who were later arrested and sent to jail while the case is under trial.
“Today there was hearing in that case at Karkardooma court. As everybody was coming out of the court, the accused somehow freed themselves from the policemen and attacked Tahir,” said a police official. Eyewitnesses said that the victim had to take shelter inside one of the judge’s rooms to save him.
Policemen soon caught hold of the assailants and took them away. The victim was provided medical assistance at a nearby hospital.
