The Ghaziabad BJP unit on Wednesday staged a protest against murder and loot of an accountant of a distribution firm and submitted a memorandum to the district magistrate demanding a judicial probe into the incident.
BJP district president Ashok Monga stated that the law and order situation in the district has worsened. He criticised the police for their inability to nab the criminals involved in the murder and loot of accountant Sandeep even after two days.
Citing increasing number of extortion calls to traders, the district president said that the morale of criminals has been very high under Samajwadi Party rule in Uttar Pradesh.
Sandeep, who worked for Sanjay Trading Co, a distributor of edible oil was shot dead on Monday morning in Kotwali police station area opposite Bajaria branch of the State Bank of India as he resisted armed bikers’ bid to snatch his bag containing Rs18 lakh. The accountant was going to deposit the cash in the SBI branch.
