ABVP distributes sweets in JNU over killing of Maoists in Gadchiroli

The members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Jawahar lal Nehru University distributed sweets on the campus, celebrating the Gadchiroli encounters. In an encounter with the Maharashtra police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at least 37 Maoists have been gunned down in the past 48 hours in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.

The State security forces had on Sunday launched an aggressive assault on Maoists in Kasansur village of Gadchiroli, with continuous weapon firefight for nearly four hours claiming the lives of 16 ambushed Naxals.

“On this occasion we the students of JNU celebrated by distributing the sweets among students. We the whole JNU community firmly stand with CRPF jawans. We will not led down the sacrifices of our jawans. Infact there are some handful of people who support naxalism which is very shameful for JNU and as well as our country,” said Saurabh Sharma of ABVP.

JNU ABVP unit Secretary Durgesh Kumar said we pay the homage for our martyrs in JNU. “We raised the slogan long live the Indian Army, naxalism down down for our brave soldiers who fought barbaric naxalites,” said Kumar.
