Congress MlA from Okhla Asif Mohammad Khan on Friday claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also exploring the chances of forming a Government in the city by seeking the support of the Congress. “AAP is trying to impress the Congress into presenting Manish Sisodia as the Chief Minister if they are wary of Arvind Kejriwal,” he said. Khan’s sensational disclosure has set the tone for bitter political activities in the city as it has put AAP on the backfoot. Khan alleged that Sisodia contacted him and tried to convince him that he should talk to the party leadership and support his candidature as the Delhi Chief Minister if the party was not in favour of Kejriwal. “MlAs of the Congress party are being approached since 45 days by AAP leaders who are urging us to support them again. In
individual capacity, I am in favour to support AAP but they should seek our support publicly first. We are not in favour of under the table deal because AAP leaders may change their stand by taking u-turn,” said Khan.
