AAP's elaan-e-Jung?

Published on:

launching a fresh salvo against lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday questioned the l-G’s motive for not making public his association with Mukesh Ambani-headed Reliance Industries. Attacking Jung over the Reliance Gas issue, party spokesperson Ashutosh said that Jung had worked with the ‘Ambanis’ in the past and he should have posted these facts on his website.

“l-G Jung had worked with Ambanis in london, in India, was part of his think tank. Why these facts are not posted on l-G’s official website!” he tweeted. This is the third time since last week that AAP has hit out at the l-G. Incidentally, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in his interview had said that he did not approve Ashutosh calling Jung a ‘Congress agent’ by saying “we should be careful with words.”

Meanwhile, Ashutosh also admitted that there was a ‘serious problem’ with Delhi law Minister Somnath Bharti’s attitude, he defended him, saying he has been told about it, and maintained that it would be wrong to call him racist. “There is a serious problem with Somanth Bharti’s attitude. He does not know how to speak. He has been told so. There has been a discussion about it in the party. But it is wrong to say he is racist,” he said adding that the law Minister’s issue is being probed by the l-G. “When Bharti used wrong language, we apologised for that publicly,” he said.
