Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced AAP’s 10 point agenda while calling for Uttarakhand Navnirman on Monday.
The AAP leader said that corruption is the biggest woe of Uttarakhand. "The BJP and Congress Governments have together ransacked the state. Only the AAP can put an end to corruption. We have proved our potential with AAP’s ‘Delhi Model’; no other party in this country can boast of such a progressive development model," he added.
"Uttarakhand owes sixty thousand crores in debt. The politicians have looted every penny this state had. BJP-Congress have done nothing but to protect each other so they could fill their vaults. Uttarakhand today needs an honest party to lead the state and only the AAP is an honest option in India today," he added.
The AAP Government will provide employment and equal opportunities to every youth without any bribery or corruption, he said, adding that it will also provide 5,000 as unemployment allowance every month as well as 1,000 rupees to every woman per month.
"Uttarakhand will get free electricity supply 24x7 just like Delhi does. We will provide free education and healthcare to all. AAP will develop Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of Hindus across the world and will offer a free tirth yatra to everyone.
We will directly employ retired army personnel in the Uttarakhand Government and bolster the Uttarakhand Navnirman with them. If any police or armed forces personnel martyrs while protecting the country, AAP will provide Rs 1 Crore to their family as a Samman Rashi," he added.
AAP National Convenor said, “It has been 21 years since the conception of the state of Uttarakhand – where the Congress ruled for some 10 years, and the BJP for 11 years. Today the state of distress that Uttarakhand faces is due to the flagrant misgovernance and incompetence of these two parties. Over the past 21 years, the people of Uttarakhand have witnessed nothing but corruption – plaguing every department in their respective governments."
Talking about Delhi, he said "We built a large number of Mohalla Clinics. Previously, there were frequent power outages in Delhi, but now power is available 24x7 and the electricity bills amount to zero. This way the Aam Aadmi
Party has brought prosperity to the state of Delhi on all fronts.”
