AAP to march to Parliament today

Stepping up its attack on the Modi Government over currency notes ban, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in a Press conference at its party headquarters on Monday announced to march to Parliament on Tuesday with Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other AAP leaders.

Alleging that the demonetisation drive by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government is a “scam”, AAP leader Ashish Khetan said the demonetisation was introduced to “help the corporate houses and biggies while the poor were made to suffer.”

Criticising the State Bank of India (SBI) for waiving loan of Vijay Malaya, Khetan said, “Around Rs 600 crore were waived off during the week of demonetisation “thus” it served no purpose to the poor people of the country”.

The party said the issue of demonetisation is “such a huge scam” that it would become the main issues of the Parliamentary polls 2019. “The BJP will have to answer the people over demonetisation and the people will teach a lesson to Modi so that he would never be able to do anything like this in future,” said AAP leader Dilip Pandey.

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal will also address three public rallies in Meerut, lucknow and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on the issue of demonetisation starting from December 1.

Kejriwal, who has been opposing the demonetisation measure, is currently in Punjab. Delhi Ministers will also join the march.
