In a show of solidarity, all seven Congress MlAs appeared on Wednesday before mediapersons. Only, Hasan Ahmed from Mustafabad was conspicuous by his absence.
While addressing the Congress leader, Congress leaders accused that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is hand in glove with the BJP as pamphlets circulated by it, has targeted Congress party and not a single word was mentioned against the BJP. “In pamphlets, the AAP has apologised for Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation as Delhi Chief Minister and has accused the Congress for not letting them work. I would like to make it clear that we never received a single phone call from the AAP leaders during their regime in Delhi and neither were we invited to discuss on any of the issue. So how can we stop them from workingIJ” Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh lovely said at a Press conference on Wednesday.
“Why they are blaming us and not the BJP. Now, when our party is not ruling in Delhi or Centre, why the AAP is still behind usIJ Can’t they see the corruption of the BJPIJ It clearly indicates that they are the ‘B team’ of the BJP,” lovely alleged. “There are 11 posts of district development committees in the city. When the AAP selected 10 of its own MlAs for the posts, then what was the need of selecting one BJP MlA. There must be some kind of deal between these two parties,” he alleged.
Another Congress leader Haroon Yusuf alleged, “Kejriwal is enacting the drama of people-interaction to attack the Congress, so that in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, he could divide the secular votes and help the BJP form a Government in the national Capital.” Yusuf also said that the decision to end the monthly financial assistance of Rs 600 to over two lakh people was taken by the AAP Government.
Former Congress MlA Mukesh Sharma alleged that AAP had removed the details from its website about the records of the crores of rupees it had collected from the poor people in the name of stopping corruption, Jan lokpal and Swaraj. He also alleged that the AAP did not have 33,000 volunteers and Kejriwal was using paid volunteers to save the adjacent two-three seats of his Assembly constituency. He wanted to know if the AAP had 33,000 volunteers with it, why they were missing from the Jantar Mantar rally.
