AAP rattles BJP cage, takes up 'cash for votes' with Delhi CEO

Two days after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the BJP of trying to get voters’ list fudged in the national Capital, its chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday took up the issue with Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vijay Dev. When asked about the meeting, Kejriwal said that the CEO reacted positively and assured to look into the matter. He further appealed the CEO to upload the list of deleted and added votes along with daily monitoring report of each constituency on the net.

The AAP’s national convener said that they have demanded strict action against the Booth level Officers who are found indulging in any malpractice. “A top BJP leader has directed all Delhi BJP MlAs to get at least 5,000 fake votes in each constituency and get AAP votes deleted. Bribe rate is Rs1,500 for new fake vote and Rs200 to get any vote deleted. The information was given by someone who did this for the BJP last week. We are meeting EC officials on Monday at 11 am to make a formal complaint,” Kejriwal had said on Twitter. He added that Dev has assured them of starting this process after November 20 this year.
