AAP raps BJP for comments against Kejriwal

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) slammed the BJP over its comments against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on the issues of purvanchalis. The AAP alleged that the BJP has no relevant issues to raise therefore they are coming up with such absurd issues.

The statements came after the BJP alleged that Kejriwal had said that Purvanchalis are coming to the national capital for cheap or free healthcare.

"The BJP has no leader in Delhi because all the three major leaders are fighting with each other to become Chief Ministerial face," said AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.

Singh said "The BJP is now raising questions against us on the issues of purvanchalis. AAP's state president is also from purvanchal. We have ministers and 13 MLAs who are from purvanchal,"

"Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a simple statement that the people from UP and Bihar come to Delhi for better treatment because the Delhi government has improved the health sector of the state," he said.

Singh asked, "What happened to the Ayushman Yojana of the Central government where the Center promised that people will get treatment in private hospitals?"

The Delhi government has also set up more than 1000 Chhath Ghats in the city and declared a holiday on this occasion, developed education and health system for all, worked for the development of the unauthorised colonies where mostly people from pourvanchal live, he added.

Singh further said the AAP-led government has worked hard to empower the people of UP and Bihar who live in Delhi "When people of UP and Bihar were being tortured in Surat then Tiwari never spoke against it. When people of UP and Bihar were tortured in Ahmedabad then why neither the Prime Minister nor the Home Minister spoke a single word," he asked?

"We have seen that many infants died in UP's Gorakhpur due to lack of health infrastructure. BJP is rising such absurd issues to divert attention from rape incident of its leader Chinmayanand or from the issue of the flood in UP and Bihar.
