Criticising the AAP leaders, Delhi BJP General Secretary Harsh Malhotra has said Delhiites are surprised to see those who have never followed the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam are today quoting it to vent out their political frustration.
The BJP leaders said the Delhi Government has never invited Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly and area MPs for its functions or development projects launched. Malhotra said that the way Delhi's Ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj are crying over Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal not being invited for Metro Station inauguration today need to answer many questions of Delhiites and tell if Team Kejriwal can cite one example of inviting LOP in Delhi Assembly or any MP for any inauguration Delhi Government funded project.
Delhi BJP General Secretary has said that most development projects in Delhi are completed with major assistance of Centre Government and yet Kejriwal government never invites the LOP in Delhi Assembly or area MP for inauguration of renovated schools or any other development project. “Till last BJP served and ran MCD administration but Kejriwal government never invited the erstwhile 3 Mayors for any project launch,” he added. Malhotra has said that till day present Lt Governor of Delhi took charge the Kejriwal Government never invited even Lt Governor of Delhi for any project inauguration. Delhi BJP general secretary has said Delhiites well remember dozens of such instances where CM Kejriwal inaugurated project but didn't invite even Lt Governor let alone any MP etc.
On 5th September 2023 Kejriwal flagged off 400 Electric Buses given by Centre government under FAME scheme but didn't invite the local East Delhi MP or the LOP in Delhi Assembly.
Similarly we can cite example of East Delhi University Campus inauguration where too Kejriwal government did not invite the local MP and was forced to invite MP Gautam Gambhir after the Lt. Governor virtually directed them to invite Gambhir.Delhi BJP General Secretary has said that instead of citing Vasudhaiva Kutubakam the Kejriwal Ministers should work to change the performance of their own government.
