Celebrating sixth foundation day, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislatures wore caps with party logo in Delhi legislative Assembly including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Home Minister Satyender Jain.
Importantly, as per the rules displaying political symbols is not allowed in the House. When asked AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj, he said that today was our sixth foundation day. MLAs wore caps as a symbolic gesture. " I dont think there is any procedural lapse and has not hurt any sentiments. We came to power using this symbol. If there is any objection, we invite BJP MLAs to wear their caps on foundation day, adding," The rules do not prohibit wearing caps. Being neutral does not mean you are beyond party lines. If anyone has objection we will see how to deal with it."
