AAP MlAs to meet Prez, demand fresh polls

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MlAs are going to meet President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday to request him to dissolve the Delhi Assembly and hold fresh elections in the national Capital. Announcing about the move, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of engaging in ‘horse-trading’ in the city.

Putting all the speculation of the AAP considering Government formation through outside support to rest, Kejriwal tweeted on late Wednesday evening that they want fresh polls in the national Capital.

“All AAP MlAs meeting the President tomorrow at 6:30 pm to request him to dissolve the Delhi Assembly and hold election,” read his tweet.

Prior to this, the former Delhi Chief Minister had also criticised the BJP for allegedly trying to poach its MlAs. Besides he also tweeted, “BJP attempting horse-trading in Delhi, desperately approaching our MlAs.” For this, Kejriwal also shot a letter to BJP chief Rajnath Singh requesting him to demand for re-elections as well. “If you and Delhi BJP want fresh elections in the Capital, then you must write to the lieutenant Governor at the earliest for the same,” Kejriwal wrote in his letter.
