AAP Govt to expose 'dirty' truth behind BJP's 'clean' image

Calling the Municipal Corporation of Delhi the “most corrupt” organisation across the world, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh took a dig at BJP-ruled MCD for mismanagement and turning Delhi into a heap of garbage. In a case of cross-allegations, AAP leadership attacked BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Clean India Campaign, and said that all the party workers and leaders of AAP will go for the cleaning drive on Saturday in their concerned constituencies. They will then hold public meetings and convey the ‘truth’ of BJP to the Delhiites.

“When PM started his most aspiring Clean India Campaign, we supported it and took brooms in hand to clean our cities. We did it not for the photoshoots but now the BJP-led MCD is converting Delhi into heap of garbage. They are not cooperating, nor releasing the funds. So, we had decided to take on the streets and clean them ourselves,” said AAP spokesperson Sanjay Singh.

AAP passed on the blame for the woes of sanitation workers in Delhi to the Modi Government. Terming the civic bodies Delhi as the world’s most corrupt, the AAP demanded a probe into the role of the party over the issue of non-clearance of salary dues of sanitation workers. AAP leader Dilip Pandey alleged that the funds meant for workers salaries were being funnelled for other purposes.
