The AAP on Sunday denied allegations that some of its candidates were mired in corruption, following a sting operation that figured several party members.
The party leaders were in no mood to accept charges of bribery and claimed that the rank and file was behind them and charges against them politically motivated. The party, which was refused raw footage by mediasarkar.com on Friday, accessed it from the EC on Saturday. “We saw the complete raw footage which was 14 hours long and can say that the edited portion shown in the media was doctored to malign our party members. After examining the footage, we can proudly say we have clean candidates in our party,” said Yogendra Yadav, AAP leader.
