The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday demanded the BJP ruled municipal corporations to release the salary of the staff due for the last four months.
AAP senior leader and MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak on Wednesday said that the corporations have enough money to pay the salary but they are doing politics to defame the Kejriwal Government.
Pathak said that due to the continuous protest of the AAP and the MCD employees the BJP was forced to release the salary of two months but now the remaining should be released too.
“The citizens of Delhi and the whole country know that the employees of the BJP ruled MCD have not received their salaries for several months. The teachers, doctors, nurses and the sanitation workers have not received their salaries from the BJP ruled MCD. They also held a sit-in demonstration and hunger strike demanding the immediate release of the salaries.”
The AAP leader further said that the BJP should not deal with the matter in such a way that the employees again get forced to hold a hunger strike. “The AAP demands the immediate release of all the pending salaries of the MCD employees without any delay,” he added.
