AAP accuses MCD of harassing traders through  different taxes

Aam Aadmi Party’s chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj accused the municipal corporations of imposing different taxes to harass traders in the national Capital.

The AAP leader said that the party will start visiting different markets from Thursday onwards to discuss the issues with the trader and will launch a movement against the municipal corporations to protest against imposing  taxes on traders.

The party will also launch a signature campaign,  said, adding that the party workers and councilors will then take forward the drive within all the 272 wards from Friday.

“The commercial taxes, trade license fees along with others have increased manifold. Attempts are being made to make the situation difficult for traders and merchants by raising taxes without taking all stakeholders in confidence. The AAP stands in the support of the traders. It is incorrect to treat the traders in this manner when they are already hit hard by the Covid pandemic,” he said.
