AAP, Centre misleading Delhiites over illegal colonies, says Congress

Published on:

nTerming the announcement to regularise the unauthorised colonies as election 'gimmick', Delhi Congress attacked both the AAP led Delhi Government and the Centre, saying that they are misleading the people of these colonies to get advantages in upcoming Assembly election.

"It will take a minimum of three to four months to complete the process of regularization of the unauthorized colonies and by then the Assembly elections would be over in Delhi. These parties will do nothing over the issue after the election," Delhi Congress president Subhash Chopra and Chairman of the Campaign Committee Kirti said in a joint statement.

They cautioned those living in unauthorized colonies  of Delhi not to be taken in by the hollow promises of BJP and AAP as these parties have no intention to actualize the regularization of the unauthorized colonies once the Delhi Assembly  elections get over.

Chopra said that if the government is serious about the issue then it should start the process of regularization on a war-footing so that it is completed before the Delhi Assembly elections.
