Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak on Wednesday said that the BJP lied to the people of Delhi regarding the fund crunch to defame the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and the party.
He demanded the BJP to immediately apologise to the people of Delhi.
Pathak said that for the past several months the BJP ruled Municipal Corporation was claiming that they do not have the money to pay the salaries and blaming the AAP government for this but on Tuesday they have promised to release all the pending salaries; this shows that the BJP was lying.
The AAP leader said that no one in the world has ever witnessed such a shameless and insensitive governance model like the BJP ruled MCD.
"From the past several months the BJP ruled MCD was claiming that they do not have a single penny to pay the salary of their employees. The mayors were in protest in front of the CM’s residence. But yesterday the BJP mayors have submitted written assurance to the protesting employees that the corporation will release the salaries, pensions and also give a bonus to their employees. The AAP wants to ask the BJP why they were lying to the people of Delhi for the past several months regarding the funds," he said.
