As soon as former Congress leader Arvinder Singh lovely, who is son of former Union Home Minister and former Governor Buta Singh, joined BJP on Tuesday, a section of media assumed that his namesake, who is Delhi State president and a face of Congress party, has joined BJP.
The social networking sites were abuzz with the wrong information. It was only after the State president requested media organisations to stop spreading canards were the posts deleted.
The Congress State president tweeted, “To the dear intelligentsia, I am and will always be a part of the Indian National Congress. Please refrain from spreading such rumours.” The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief Arvinder Singh lovely clarified that he is in Congress and his namesake, an ex-MlA, has joined the BJP.
