With the arrest of four eunuchs, the Delhi Police on Friday claimed to have solved a sensational murder case of a 24-year-old man whose body had been found dumped in a deserted area in Rohini on December 17.
Rajneesh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East said, “On December 17, an unidentified male body aged about 24-25 years was found near CNG pump in Rohini Sector-22 area. The deceased was identified as Mohit, alias Mahi, a resident of Budh Vihar area. A team was constituted to investigate the case.”
Police said that during the course of investigation, it came to notice that the deceased used to stay with eunuchs. To find out the further details several transgenders or eunuchs of various areas of Rohini and Outer District were examined.
The area DCP said, “Further investigation revealed that transgenders identified as Kuldeep, alias Kiran (24), Sandeep, alias Sandhya (26), Ajay, alias Dolly (23), Anil, alias Anamika (23) were in search of deceased Mohit, as he has allegedly stolen money of Kuldeep. All the four suspects were apprehended after interrogation.”
After sustained interrogation, it was disclosed that deceased Mohit had stolen some money from Kuldeep’s house and they were in search of him. On December 15, the accused apprehended Mohit and took him to the house of Sandeep and Ajay in Mangolpuri, and beat him to death, police said.
“They kept the body whole day of December 16 in their house and in the intervening night of December 16 they dumped the body near CNG pump in Rohini Sec-22,” said Gupta.
