The Delhi Police Special Cell claimed on Monday to have cracked the sensational triple murder case of Mianwali Nagar that had taken place on April 30 with the arrest of three most wanted inter-State sharp shooters of the Satyawan alias Sonu Dariyapur and Rajesh alias Rajje gang.

Senior police officers of the Cell said one of the arrested accused, Sumit, is one of the most dreaded criminals amongst his associates. To carry out a murder inside the Rohtak court complex in March this year, Sumit disguised as a woman, he said. "Wearing a black colour suit, he kept waiting in the high security zone of the Rohtak Court Complex for two hours to eliminate Ramesh, rival of Rajesh alias Rajje, and managed to fire at Ramesh alias lohar. Although, Ramesh survived, yet in the firing, another man was killed and five others were injured,” he said.

These three men accompanied by their gang leader Sonu alias Satyawan had gunned down Bhupender, his associate and his PSO, a Delhi Police ASI in full public view at a busy market in Mianwali Nagar area. The Delhi Police had declared a reward of Rs 1 lakh on the arrest of each accused. The murder was carried out by Sonu Dariyapur after his close friend Bhupender alias Monu married one of Sonu Dariyapur's cousin few years back. To take revenge, Sonu had fired at Monu three years back too but he survived.

Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), said, "Sleuths of Special Cell had been working on the triple murder case of Mianwali Nagar. One of the teams led by ACP Akhilehswar Sawroop received a tip-off about the accused.

Police officers were informed that the accused people would arrive in a Black Honda Amaze Car at Mahavir Marg in Rohini to meet their associate on Friday. A trap was laid by the police team around rendezvous spot. Around 9 pm, the car arrived and stopped near Bahadur Shah Marg. The bandits were overpowered and caught by the team. Sonu (25), Sumit alias Palotra (22), Sandeep alias Padu (25) were arrested.

On sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in murdering Monu Dariyapur, his associate and his PSO. They further told police that they were part of a joint gang run by Sonu Dariyapur and Rajesh alias Rajje. They further admitted to their connivance in several heinous offenses and that they mostly hide underground after committing a crime. They further disclosed that Rajje wanted to eliminate Ramesh, a notorious gangster and Sonu Dariyapur wanted to eliminate Monu, which is why both the gangs came together and decided to execute killing one after the other. Accordingly a blueprint was prepared and each gang member was allocated their tasks, the DCP said.

On the night of Bhupender's murder, all the gang members of Sonu Dariyapur along with their associates Rajje and his gang had fired around 50-60 rounds at Monu Daryapur in Mianwali while he was travelling with his friend and PSO. Due to such indiscriminated firing, all three died on the spot.
