Three juveniles have been apprehended for kidnapping 12-year-old boy and murdering him within a few hours of making the ransom call in Northeast Delhi’s Jaffrabad area, according to police.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Adi. According to police, the incident took place on September 13 when the accused lured Adi and kidnapped him and after that they strangled him.
Police said the accused made a call to his parents on September 19 demanding a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.
“The accused kept the body in the room for 24 hours. They wrapped it in a plastic bag and threw it near MS Park railway line on September 14,” said senior police officer. Police said his body was found on September 14. Adi’s family had filed a missing complaint at the police station when they could not find their son till late night on September 13. “Police did not identify my son and cremated his body without telling us,” said Adi’s father Mehrazuddin, who runs a factory in the area. Family of deceased protested outside the police station.
