The Gurugram police has recovered three bodies — two women and a man — with their throats slit in the forest area of Ghamroj village on Tuesday morning. All three deceased have been identified as residents of Madhya Pradesh.
A case of murder has been registered under section (302) against unknown persons and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Bhondsi police station.
According to police, a villager found the bodies at around 7 am, and personnel at the Bhondsi police station were alerted at around 7.30 am. The police team reached the spot along with a forensic team and took the custody of the bodies.
All three of the deceased have been identified as lakhan (35) his wife Sheela (32) and Komalbai (38), who were from the same family, and worked as labourers in Gurugram. They lived on rent in Ghamroj village.
All the four, including Chindya alias Raju (40) husband of Komalbai had gone to collect firewood in the forest on Monday evening but they didn't return. The other family members of the deceased went to search them but they could not found them.
Three bodies were found on Tuesday morning, with injury marks around the throat. While Raju was missing soon after the crime. However, police probe suggests that Chindya could be involved in the triple murder and after committing the crime he flees the spot.
"We had informed Kali Charan a relative of lakhan who reached the spot and identified the bodies. The murder weapon is yet to be recovered and hunts are on to nab Chindya. A sharp-edged weapon had been used in the crime.
A forensic team has also been collecting evidence from the spot. Further investigation into the matter is underway the accused will be arrested soon," Umesh Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Bhondsi police station, said.
"More clarity will emerge once the prime suspect Chindya is arrested. As of now the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained," the SHO said.
