Delhi Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly killing a rival gang member to establish his supremacy in the Uttam Nagar area of National Capital.
The accused was released from jail a month ago after having served a prison term of six years.
The accused is Kaushar alias Babloo who was arrested by Delhi Police on Tuesday.
According to a senior police official, Kaushar shot at two rival gang members- Azaad and Javed-after a quarrel on November 7 night.
“Azaad, who suffered four gunshot injuries, died during treatment in the hospital. On Tuesday, we have received information that Kaushar would come near Vipin Garden to meet someone.
A trap was laid by a police team and he was arrested at around 11:30 pm," a senior police officer said.
