A-22-year-old girl and SSC (Staff Selection Commission) aspirant allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan inside her flat in Sector-15, Noida on Monday.
Police said the deceased has been identified as Divya Verma (22), a native of Mathura district and she was living along with her brother in a rented accommodation. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.
The incident came to light on Monday when her brother Bhaskar Verma came back home and found her hanging. Police said the door was locked from inside. Her brother took help from neghibours to break the door and found her hanging with her dupatta from the ceiling fan.
Station House officer, Sector-20, police station Amarnath Yadav told The Pioneer, “The duo hails from Mathura district. Deceased’s brother Bhaskar is a software engineer.”
