lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung expressed his deep sorrow at the demise of Suvra Mukherjee, wife of President Pranab Mukherjee. He conveys his deepest condolences to the Honourable President Pranab Mukherjee and their children. In his message Jung said, “I pray for her departed soul; may she rest in peace”. He added, “May God give strength to the family to bear this loss with forbearance and fortitude.”
Sudhir Choudhury is new prez of Valmiki Committee
Valmiki Choudhury Sarpanch Committee has elected its new office bearers in the national Capital. The committee organises Mahrishi Valmiki Birth Anniversary every year. According to former Congress MlA and known Valmiki leader, Jai Kishan, the committee has elected Sanjay Hatwal as president; Sanjeev Java as general secretary and Sanjay Tank as treasurer. Sudhir Choudhury has been elected as acting president of the committee. Speaking on the occasion, Jai kishan said Valmiki Samaj is the back bone of the Congress party and they always supported Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
