Tree-plantation drive at Ryan International
In a bid to turn the city greener, Ryan International Group on Wednesday started India Environment Campaign, 2014-15. The campaign which aims to plant over 1.2 billion saplings throughout the country was kicked off by Augustine Francis Pinto, the chairman of the group and recipient of the Indira Gandhi Pariyawarn Award. The students at Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj took the lead and carried out tree plantation in various neighbourhood schools, hospitals, villages, resident welfare association, the RITES office, Rangpuri Pahari, Mahipalpur village, Delhi Cantonment, multi national companies and embassies and many other venues. Satya Prakash Rana, MlA Bijwasan and Anil Sharma, MlA South (Anandniketan), were present to guide and motivate the students.
